Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a Per Diem, As Needed position at Edwin Shaw in Akron. The role focuses on evaluating patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and neurological or orthopedic conditions, delivering discipline-specific therapy, and guiding patient care plans.

Current state licensure or eligibility is required, and BLS certification or completion within 90 days is mandatory.

• Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required.
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician direction.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients.
• Designs functional treatment programs enabling return to community activities.
• Educates patients, families, students, co-workers and self; performs other professional duties related to care and therapy services.
