Job summary

Martha's Vineyard Hospital, Inc. seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist to join our team at One Hospital Road, on the island of Martha's Vineyard. This independent hospital participates in a broad continuum of care and emphasizes collaborative, patient-centered therapy services.

The role requires a Master's in OT and state OT licensure, with BLS preferred. You will work with patients across ages, documenting progress and coordinating with the rehab team to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• State license to practice OT is required.

• Experience 0–1 year preferred.
• Experience in residential/assisted living or skilled nursing facility 0–1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

Conduct assessments of patients' physical, mental, and developmental abilities.

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessments.
• Implement and monitor treatment plans, adjusting as needed.
• Provide education to patients and their families about therapeutic activities and exercises they can do at home.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and physical therapists, to provide comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and progress notes.
• Attend staff meetings, continuing education programs, and professional development activities to stay current with new techniques and best practices.

Qualifications

Education:

Master's Degree Occupational Therapy required.

• Occupational Therapist [State License] - Generic - HR Only required.
• Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred.
• Experience Occupational therapist experience 0-1 year preferred and Experience in a residential/assisted living or skilled nursing facility 0-1 year preferred.
