Job summary

North Vista Hospital in North Las Vegas, NV is seeking a per diem Occupational Therapist to provide medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic services to patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and cardiopulmonary conditions. You will function as a key member of an interdisciplinary team, delivering treatments within scope of practice and hospital policies.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor or Master degree in Occupational Therapy, maintains a current OT license, and has BCLS

• Provides medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic services within scope of practice to restore function and prevent disability for clients or patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Functions according to professional practice as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Maintains compliance with department policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Provides medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic services within scope of practice in order to restore function and prevent disability for clients or patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and cardiopulmonary disorders. Performs responsibilities in accordance with department and Hospital Policies, state, federal and regulatory requirements: Title 22 Section 70517, 70519. Functions according to professional practice as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current state Occupational Therapy certification/license
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate.
• National Board for Certification Occupational Therapy certification, AOTA and OTAC preferred.
