Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System seeks an Occupational Therapist to assess patients and develop treatment plans to maximize independence across activities of daily living. You will provide direct patient care, document findings, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The role may involve supervising assistants and rehab technicians, training students and interns, and contributing to program development while upholding safety and quality standards within Memorial Hermann policies.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licenses: Current or temporary Texas OT license.
• Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluation of patients and develop plans of care.
• Implement occupational therapy treatments and supervise COTA’s/rehab technicians.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust goals or plans as needed.
• Document findings in the medical record accurately and efficiently.
• May serve as Clinical Instructor for OT or OTA interns.
• Collaborate with physicians, insurance companies and other staff.
