Job summary

Cortica Care is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist for our Carlsbad center in California. You will join a growing, multidisciplinary team and provide evidence-based, play-centered therapy with families and children.

Collaboration with SLPs, BCBAs, physicians, counselors and others forms the core of our integrated approach. The role offers clinic and telehealth options, with a focus on Whole Child outcomes and documented progress.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestrictive Occupational Therapy license in CA.
• Master's degree in related field.
• Safety training to be completed within first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Establish OT treatment goals using dynamic and standardized assessment tools in alignment with Cortica’s Whole Child Approach.
• Consult closely with transdisciplinary team to create collaborative treatment plans and integrative strategies.
• Provide individual, group, and co-treat therapy sessions as appropriate.
• Contribute to the autism diagnostic process by providing clinical insight and administering standardized assessments (e.g. ADOS).
• Provide therapy in-person in clinic and via telehealth as appropriate.
• Complete documentation within Cortica’s time frames.
• Provide neurodiversity affirming interventions that are play-based and goal-based.
• Facilitate functional and child-led experiences to achieve individualized goals.

What will you do?

• Establish occupational therapy treatment goals through dynamic and standardized assessment tools, in alignment with Cortica’s Whole Child Approach.

• Consult closely with transdisciplinary team members to create collaborative treatment plans and integrative strategies.

• Provide individual, group, and co-treat therapy sessions for therapy services within scope, as clinically appropriate.

• Contributes to the autism diagnostic process by providing clinical insight and administering standardized assessments (e.g. ADOS), as appropriate.

• Provide therapeutic services in-person in the clinic setting and via telehealth, as clinically appropriate.

• Accurately complete documentation in accordance with Cortica’s designated time frames.

• Provide neurodiversity affirming interventions that are both play-based and goal-based.

• Facilitate functional and child-led experiences to target and achieve individualized goals
