Job summary

Chatham Hills Subacute Care Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team in New Jersey. The role involves direct patient care, assessing functional capacities, and designing individualized treatment plans under physician direction.

The ideal candidate will have an OT degree, state license, and experience with geriatric care; supervision of OTAs is included. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available, with competitive hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapist college or university.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Oversee and supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care preferred.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Evaluations, weekly progress notes, re-certification and discharge documentations.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient-centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence.
• Report to work on time and adhere to scheduled hours.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.
• Confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

Occupational Therapist

The Chatham Hills Subacute Care Center for a talented and hard-working Occupational Therapist to join our ever-growing team.

Responsibilities Include:

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services which includes: providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. Also, the Occupational Therapist will establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient's capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician. As well, the Occupational Therapist must set realistic and achievable goals for their patients, document and record the patient's condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate therapy method.

Shift Needs: All positions are available.

Compensation: $43-47/hour
