Job summary

Responsibilities

• Perform patient transfers, ensuring safety through proper body mechanics.
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans based on patient response and evidence-based practices.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare providers using effective teaching methods.
• Conduct clinical evaluations to determine diagnoses and treatment outcomes.
• Screen patients to assess therapy needs and effectiveness of interventions.
• Supervise and monitor support personnel, providing regular feedback.
• Document evaluations, treatment plans, and patient responses in compliance with policies.
• Implement functional intervention activities tailored to patient needs, modifying approaches as necessary.
• Use standardized outcome measures to accurately reflect functional performance.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team and provide patient and family education during the rehabilitation process.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and technicians, ensuring quality care.
