Job summary

Evolve-Therapy-Services seeks an Occupational Therapist for an in-house Skilled Nursing Facility in Sebring, FL. The therapist plans, directs OT services and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local standards to maintain high-quality resident care.

You will screen and evaluate residents, develop treatment plans, coordinate with families and the inter-disciplinary team, schedule therapies, document and bill services, and supervise COTA as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Occupational Therapy license in Florida.
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure and certification.
• Degree in Occupational Therapy required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular resident screenings to determine the best OT interventions.
• Evaluate residents to inform and develop treatment plans with short- and long-term goals.
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Establish individual therapy schedules in coordination with other team members.
• Perform therapy according to plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of OT services.
• Oversee COTA as needed and ensure documentation and treatments meet clinical and reimbursement standards.
• Carry out additional duties as required to effectively treat patients.

Job Position: Occupational Therapist for an In-house Skilled Nursing Facility

Job Type: Full Time (Flexible Schedule!), Part Time, or PRN

Job Purpose:

To plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Job Functions:

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient
• Evaluate residents to inform and develop treatment plans; establish short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve goals
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members
• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services
• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients
• Oversee COTA as needed and ensure all documentation and treatments are carried out with clinical excellence and proper reimbursement practices are being followed

Education & Qualifications:

• Degree in Occupational Therapy
• MUST have an Active Occupational Therapy license in practicing state(s)
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
