BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time opportunity providing home health visits for our office. This office services clients on a per-visit basis throughout Montgomery County, Maryland.

As a home care Occupational Therapist, you will be a vital part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team that delivers rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to clients, enabling them to receive necessary medical care while remaining at home.

Occupational Therapist, OT Responsibilities:

1. Make home visits to clients in designated geographic areas.
2. Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients' functional status, including muscle function, endurance, visual coordination, communication skills, and ADL/IADL performance.
3. Assess cognitive, psychological, and motor aspects of performance and develop personalized intervention plans to achieve positive outcomes.
4. Evaluate the home environment for hazards or barriers to independent living.
5. Identify equipment needs and environmental modifications to improve client outcomes.
6. Continuously assess and update the occupational therapy care plan, collaborating with nursing staff as appropriate.
7. Educate and instruct patients, families, and caregivers in rehabilitative activities to promote health, safety, and independence.
8. Document observations, interventions, and evaluations accurately using a state-of-the-art touchpad tablet.

Occupational Therapist, OT Qualifications:

1. Current Maryland Occupational Therapist license.
2. Prior home care experience preferred but not required.
3. Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program recognized by the AMA and AOTA.
4. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
5. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
6. Proficiency with computers; experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
