Job summary

The Riverside Premier Rehabilitation & Healing Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assess patients, create and supervise rehabilitation programs, and educate families. You will document progress, collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, and ensure high-quality care in a geriatric setting.

Candidates must hold an OT license, have completed an accredited program, and be able to supervise assistants. This full-time role emphasizes professional care and patient-focused outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist program.
• Must hold a valid state license and registration.
• Experience supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants is required.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric settings preferred.
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to perform evaluations, progress notes, re-certifications and discharge planning.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients to determine rehabilitation needs and potential for recovery.
• Provide direct patient care and develop treatment programs with goals.
• Set realistic treatment goals based on patient capacity and tolerance.
• Document patient condition and educate patients and families on therapy methods.
• Supervise OT Assistants and ensure quality of care.
• Coordinate with physicians and other disciplines for optimal outcomes.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to regulatory requirements.

The Riverside Premier Rehabilitation & Healing Center is looking for a talented and hard-working Occupational Therapist to join our ever-growing team.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Responsibilities Include:

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services which includes: providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. Also, the Occupational Therapist will establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patients capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician. As well, the Occupational Therapist must set realistic and achievable goals for their patients, document and record the patients condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate therapy method.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapist college or university.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• The Occupational Therapist is responsible for overseeing and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Evaluations, weekly progress notes, re-certification and discharge documentations.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation
• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPPA and Federal Residents Rights.

Rate: 37-45 an hour
