Job summary

Glengariff Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in a rehabilitation setting. The OT will assess medical conditions, capabilities, and potential for rehabilitation, and develop a tailored treatment program under physician direction.

The role requires graduation from an accredited OT program and a valid state license; supervision of OT Assistants and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams are part of the duties.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited OT program.
• Must hold a valid OT license and registration in the state of practice.
• Experience supervising OT Assistants is preferred.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is preferred but not required.
• Strong documentation writing skills and recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients requiring rehabilitation and provide direct patient care.
• Develop and administer treatment plans with goals based on patient capacity and tolerance.
• Set realistic and achievable goals, document patient progress, and educate patients and families.
• Supervise OT Assistants and collaborate with all disciplines to deliver patient-centered care.

Glengariff Rehabilitation and Healthcare Centerislooking for a talented and hard-working Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our ever-growing team.

Rate: UP TO $43 an hour (Based on Experience)

Occupational Therapist (OT) Responsibilities Include:

The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services which includes: providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. Also, the Occupational Therapist (OT) will establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patients capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician. As well, the Occupational Therapist must set realistic and achievable goals for their patients, document and record the patients condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate therapy method.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapist college or university.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• The Occupational Therapist is responsible for overseeing and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Evaluations, weekly progress notes, re-certification and discharge documentations.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation
• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPPA and Federal Residents Rights.

Shift Needs: All positions are available.

Rate: UP TO $43 an hour (Based on Experience)
