Responsibilities

What you will do: Responsibilities listed include but are not limited to:

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Regularly reassess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings, and family conferences.
• Perform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources.
• Communicate patients' needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, client, and family members.
• Communicate with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care, and enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted license as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of one year’s work experience as an OT.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological diagnoses preferred.
• Effective and professional verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds; moving, lifting, or transferring patients may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety procedures.
• Fine motor skills, visual acuity, and ability to walk/stand for extended periods.
• Physical requirements include pushing/pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and frequent positioning.
• Health screen or examination may be required prior to assignment and periodically thereafter to verify physical capability.

Salary Range
