Job summary

Glengariff Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our patient-centered team. The OT will assess patients, develop and manage therapy plans, and coordinate care with physicians and staff.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited OT degree, a valid state license, and experience supervising OT assistants, preferably in long-term or geriatric settings. Strong documentation and confidentiality are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapist program.
• Must hold a valid OT license/registration for the state.
• Experience supervising OT assistants; long-term/geriatric care preferred.
• Strong documentation skills and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients to determine rehabilitation needs and functional capabilities.
• Establish and administer treatment programs with specific goals.
• Set realistic objectives based on patient capacity and monitor progress.
• Educate patients and families in therapy methods and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care and ensure professional standards.

Rate: UP TO $43 an hour (Based on Experience)

Occupational Therapist (OT) Responsibilities Include:

The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services which includes: providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. Also, the Occupational Therapist (OT) will establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patients capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician. As well, the Occupational Therapist must set realistic and achievable goals for their patients, document and record the patients condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate therapy method.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapist college or university.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• The Occupational Therapist is responsible for overseeing and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Evaluations, weekly progress notes, re-certification and discharge documentations.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation
• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPPA and Federal Residents Rights.

Shift Needs: All positions are available.

Rate: UP TO $43 an hour (Based on Experience)
