TAG MedStaffing is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) in Springfield, OH for our client, providing occupational therapy and rehabilitation services within a private outpatient practice. This role will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and monitor progress to improve functional independence, mobility, and participation in daily activities. The ideal candidate is a licensed Occupational Therapist with strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, patient care, and communication skills, with new graduates encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities as the Occupational Therapist (OT):
- Patient Evaluation: Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to assess functional abilities, mobility, coordination, and rehabilitation needs.
- Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, patient goals, and functional needs.
- Therapy Delivery: Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to improve strength, coordination, mobility, and independence with daily activities.
- Progress Monitoring: Evaluate patient progress, adjust treatment plans as appropriate, and support achievement of rehabilitation goals.
- Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and other required clinical documentation.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic strategies, home programs, adaptive techniques, and approaches that support continued progress.
Qualifications for the Occupational Therapist (OT):
- Education: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or an equivalent degree from an accredited occupational therapy program is required.
- Licensure: Active Ohio Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for Ohio licensure is required.
- Certification: NBCOT certification is required.
- Experience: 1+ year of occupational therapy, rehabilitation, or related clinical experience is preferred, with new graduates encouraged to apply.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of occupational therapy evaluation, treatment planning, rehabilitation, functional mobility, activities of daily living, and evidence-based clinical practices is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with electronic medical records, clinical documentation, and standard occupational therapy equipment and technology is preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong clinical judgment, patient care, communication, organization, collaboration, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are required.
