Recover-Care in Salina, KS seeks a Registered Occupational Therapist to provide diagnostic evaluations and active treatment for SNF patients, helping them achieve maximum function and independence within their capabilities.

The role includes conducting evaluations, writing records, guiding support staff, and designing individualized therapy programs, with opportunities to develop home programs and collaborate with patient families and care teams.

Qualificações

• Graduate of an accredited Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
• Current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association is required.

Responsabilidades

• Administers evaluations and treatment for assigned patients.
• Maintains timely and accurate patient records and reports.

• Develops and administers therapy programs to improve functioning.
• Creates individualized therapy plans for adult learning-disabled patients.

Occupational Therapist

Job Summary:

The Registered Occupational Therapist will provide diagnostic evaluations and treatment to assigned patients, and help patients reach maximum performance level and to use skills learned to the fullest to function in the community within the limits of their capabilities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Administers and writes evaluations of assigned patients in accordance with departmental standards and procedures.

• Maintains timely and accurate patient records and reports.

• Directs the assistance of support staff to achieve patients’ functional goals.

• Administers treatment programs to increase patients' levels of functioning.

• Designs individualized therapy for adult learning-disabled patients.

• Provides prevention therapy to maintain functional skills; instructs patients in energy conservation, joint protection, safety techniques for sensory loss, and transferring and visual field deficits; instructs patients' families in personal care for patients, especially proper transfer techniques to avoid back strain.

• Develops home programs and instructs patients or families in carrying out such programs.

• Participates in patient support groups with other team members.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy

• Current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association required.

• Proficiency with all applicable state, federal, and professional standards

Physical Requirements:

• Duties require extensive standing and walking.

• Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring patients.

• Duties require frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
