Job summary

Easterseals Joliet Region seeks a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team. This role offers no evenings or weekends, with part-time summer hours and full salary.

The organization supports flexible scheduling, mentoring, team meetings, and professional development, and PSLF eligibility. Responsibilities include evaluating clients, developing treatment plans, coaching families, and instructing on adaptive equipment use.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Illinois.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate clients referred for occupational therapy services using established evaluation procedures and standardized assessments.
• Develop treatment goals, plans, and objectives based upon the initial evaluation and program requirements, and update plans per Agency policy.
• Develop and provide coaching for family members and/or clients to incorporate new skills and/or techniques into normal routines and activities at home.
• Instruct family members and students on the proper and safe use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology.
