Job summary

National HealthCare Corporation’s NHC HomeCare Murrells Inlet seeks an Occupational Therapist to join our team. The OT will supervise and implement therapeutic techniques for patients with physical disabilities, injuries, or diseases, coordinating care across the interdisciplinary team.

The role involves providing physician-ordered OT services, delegating tasks to the OT Assistant, and guiding staff on safety, goals, and re-evaluation plans to maximize patient independence and well-being.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OT program as certified by the AOTA.
• Must be registered with the state where practicing.
• Active membership in state and national OT associations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and supervises Occupational Therapy services.
• Provides OT services as ordered by the referring physician and delegates appropriate portions to the licensed OT Assistant.
• Instructs staff in delegated functions including precautions, progress goals and plan for re-evaluation.
• Evaluates, plans and supervises treatments with short- and long-term goals for patients, with physician approval.

Occupational Therapist

NHC HomeCare Murrells Inlet is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our team. The Occupational Therapist supervises and participates in the implementation of occupational therapeutic techniques for the rehabilitation of patients with physical disabilities, injuries, or diseases.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited course in occupational therapy as certified by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Must be registered under the statutes of the state in which the occupational therapist will be practicing.
• Active member of the State and National Occupational Therapy Associations preferred.

Position Highlights

• Coordinates and supervises Occupational Therapy services.
• Provides Occupational Therapy services as ordered by the referring physician and delegates appropriate portions of the treatment program to the licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Instructs the Occupational Therapy staff in their delegated functions including precautions, special problems, contraindications, anticipated progress goals and plan for re-evaluation.
• Evaluates, plans and supervises treatments and programs including the establishment of short-term and long-term goals for patients as approved by the physician with periodic re-evaluations.
