Job summary

Manchester Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Morrison, TN is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) for full-time and PRN roles. You will assess referred patients, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and work under physician direction to promote functional recovery and independence.

The position requires an accredited OT degree, an active license, supervision of OT Assistants, strong documentation skills, and collaboration with the care team to deliver patient-centered

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapist program and hold a valid license/registration for the state of practice.
• Experience supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Experience in long-term care and/or geriatric settings preferred.
• Strong documentation, evaluation, re-certification and discharge writing skills.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care and demonstrates professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients requiring rehabilitation and determine functional potential.
• Develop and administer treatment programs with goals based on patient capacity.
• Set realistic goals, document conditions, and educate patients and families.
• Oversee and supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Collaborate with the care team and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation and adhere to scheduled hours.

Occupational Therapist -OT Full Time and PRN

Manchester Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is looking for a talented and hard-working Occupational Therapist to join our ever-growing team.

Responsibilities Include:

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services which includes: providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. Also, the Occupational Therapist will establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patients capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician. As well, the Occupational Therapist must set realistic and achievable goals for their patients, document and record the patients condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate therapy method.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapist college or university.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• The Occupational Therapist is responsible for overseeing and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Evaluations, weekly progress notes, re-certification and discharge documentations.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation
• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPPA and Federal Residents Rights.
