Job summary

Empire Care Centers seeks a full-time Occupational Therapist at the Jonesboro center to help residents regain independence and mobility in a compassionate long-term care setting.

The OT will evaluate residents, design and implement care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, documenting progress and ensuring quality care.

Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist license in Georgia.
• Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Compassionate, patient-centered mindset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and deliver individualized OT services to residents.
• Create personalized care plans to improve ADLs.
• Instruct in use of adaptive equipment for safety and independence.
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Document interventions and progress per standards.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform evaluations and deliver individualized occupational therapy services to residents with physical, emotional, or developmental conditions
• Create personalized care plans to improve function in ADLs (Activities of Daily Living)
• Recommend and instruct in the use of adaptive equipment for greater safety and autonomy
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, holistic care
• Track progress and document interventions in compliance with professional and facility standards

What You’ll Bring:

• Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the State of Georgia
• Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Compassionate, patient-centered mindset
• Long-term care experience preferred but not required
