Job summary

Glengariff Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our growing team in New York. You will assess patients, develop and implement treatment plans, and work with a multidisciplinary team to optimize recovery.

The role requires an OT license, experience supervising assistants, and strong documentation skills. Prior geriatric and long-term care experience is preferred. Office hours and a supportive environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited OT program.
• Valid OT license/registration in state of practice.
• Experience supervising OT Assistants.
• Experience in long-term care/geriatric care preferred.
• Strong documentation writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients for rehabilitation needs and provide direct patient care.
• Establish and administer individualized treatment plans based on patient capacity and tolerance.
• Document patient condition, progress, and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families on therapy methods.
• Supervise and coordinate with Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure patient-centered care.
• Maintain punctuality and professional conduct at all times.

Glengariff Rehabilitation and Healthcare Centerislooking for a talented and hard-working Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our ever-growing team.

Rate: UP TO $43 an hour (Based on Experience)

Occupational Therapist (OT) Responsibilities Include:

The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services which includes: providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. Also, the Occupational Therapist (OT) will establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patients capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician. As well, the Occupational Therapist must set realistic and achievable goals for their patients, document and record the patients condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate therapy method.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapist college or university.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• The Occupational Therapist is responsible for overseeing and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Evaluations, weekly progress notes, re-certification and discharge documentations.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation
• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPPA and Federal Residents Rights.

Shift Needs: All positions are available.

Rate: UP TO $43 an hour (Based on Experience)
