Job summary

Jackson Center for Nursing and Healing is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our caring team. You will assess clients, tailor OT interventions, and help residents engage in meaningful activities to improve health, safety, and independence.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Occupational Therapist certification.
• Ability to interact with residents, staff, and family members in complex situations with professionalism, dignity, and respect.

Responsibilities

• Address client performance to enhance engagement in activities that impact health, well-being, and quality of life.
• Select and adapt OT treatment models, methods, and approaches on a case-by-case basis to guide the intervention process.
• Implement interventions that optimize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL).
• Recommend adaptive equipment when necessary and provide training in its usage.
• Offer guidance and education to family members and caregivers.
• Observe, document, and report on progress related to both short-term and long-term treatment goals.
