Job summary

Casa is seeking an Occupational Therapist to help residents regain independence and perform daily activities. You will work with a rehab team and a Director of Rehabilitation to deliver patient-centered care in a supportive environment.

You'll assess residents, develop treatment plans, educate families, and ensure proper documentation while adhering to HIPAA and privacy standards. Experience in long-term care or geriatrics is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Valid professional license and registration for the state of practice.
• Long-term care or geriatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred residents who need rehabilitation services
• Evaluate medical condition, functional capability, limitations, and rehab potential
• Build and run treatment programs under the direction of the physician
• Set realistic, achievable goals matched to each resident’s capacity and tolerance
• Complete evaluations, weekly progress notes, recertification, and discharge documentation
• Educate residents and families on therapy methods they can continue
• Collaborate across disciplines to deliver resident-centered care
• Follow confidentiality, HIPAA, and Federal Resident Rights requirements
