MGA Homecare is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide skilled OT services in patients’ homes across the Dallas area. The OT will assess functional limitations, develop care plans, and coordinate with families and the care team to improve independence and safety for clients.
The role requires a degree in Occupational Therapy, state registration, NBCOT certification, and ability to work in home health settings. Travel to patient homes is expected as part of routine duties.

The Occupational Therapist treats neuromuscular and developmental dysfunction, caused by disease, trauma, congenital anomaly,or prior therapeutic process, through the use of specific tasks or goal directed activities designed to improve functional performance of the patient and compliance with applicable laws, regulations & policies of MGA.
Seeks and obtains sufficient information necessary to function effectively.
Provides individual patient/client services and determines priority needs for occupational therapy by:
Initiates the occupational therapy program and instructs other personnel and/ or family/ caregivers in certain phases during which they may work with a patient/ client, as well as instructing them as to the goals of the program for the patient/client.
Instructs patients/clients and family/caregivers in the use and care of therapeutic appliances and/or prosthetic devices when applicable.
Maintains communication regarding patient/client status with supervisory personnel.
Collaborates with the physician and team members to develop, implement and support the patient’s plan of care.
Completes and maintains accurate clinical notes regarding patient evaluation and attainment of goals.
Observes the patient/client for reactions to treatment or changes in condition, discusses changes with the patient/family/caregiver and reports changes as necessary.
Assists the caregivers/families, other healthcare personnel in providing continuity of care.
MGA Policies, Procedures and Handbook are adhered to.
Participation in Agency’s other mandated activities as requested by Agency Director such as In-Services.
