Job summary

VisaNurse is seeking qualified Occupational Therapists to join permanent, direct-hire opportunities in the United States. Canadian OTs are invited to pursue U.S. clinical roles across hospitals and care settings.

You will work with interdisciplinary teams to restore independence through individualized plans, with TN visa guidance and relocation support provided.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Canadian Occupational Therapist registration/licensure.
• Eligible for (or willing to obtain) U.S. state Occupational Therapy licensure.
• Eligible for (or willing to obtain) a VisaScreen Certificate, if required.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for helping patients achieve greater independence and quality of life.
• New graduates welcome; some roles may require experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and functional abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve daily living, mobility, and independence.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Follow facility policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
