Job summary

Lifepoint Health's Rehabilitation Hospital of Montana seeks an Occupational Therapist to deliver comprehensive therapy care within our inpatient program in Billings, MT.

You will assess patients, plan and implement therapy, and educate families while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize recovery. Montana licensure and BLS within 30 days are required, with a focus on safe, effective regain of function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Montana State Licensure for Occupational Therapy is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient's ability to safely and effectively perform occupational skills.
• Designs the appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment.
• Implements the treatment plan using appropriate modalities.
• Documents subjective and objective findings of patient progress.
• Monitors and modifies the plan of care as needed.
• Seeks consultation as necessary.
• Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
• Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting.
• Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
• Supervises and delegates the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to established licensing laws, state regulations and practice standards.

Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized, individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy Required
• License: Montana State Licensure for Occupational Therapy
