Job summary

Saco Bay PT in Portland, ME, is seeking an Occupational Therapist for outpatient care on a Per-Diem basis. The role focuses on comprehensive OT services, with opportunities to collaborate in a clinic that also offers PT and Neuro rehabilitation.

The position supports per-diem scheduling, mentors growth through ongoing CEU opportunities, generous PTO, and a supportive team environment. New grads are encouraged to apply as part of our engaging, community-focused practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school for occupational therapy
• State Occupational Therapist license (or license eligible)
• CPR certification
• Valid state driver's license

Responsibilities

• Stay current with Occupational Therapy research and Evidence Based Practice.
• Enhance and expand relationships with referral sources and centers.
• Collaborate with referring physician to establish patient goals and determine OT frequency/duration.
• Understand state Practice Act and comply with supervision regulations.
• Participate in design and implementation of new programs per HIPAA guidelines.
• Supervise and delegate OT care for each patient within state and federal rules.
• Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment plans and timely documentation.

Position: Occupational Therapist - Outpatient

Location: Portland, ME

Schedule: Per-Diem Monday through Friday

Salary: $45-$55/hr

We are looking for a motivated clinician and Per Diem team member to come join our team in Portland. Our office provides comprehensive services offering both PT and OT. Outside of traditional outpatient orthopaedics, we also offer specialized Neuro rehabilitation to the community we serve. Our cohesive team helps to create a fun and inviting work environment. Responsibilities

• Best Practices: Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
• Build Relationships: Enhance, develop and expand relationships with referral sources and maintain a positive level of interaction with centers and patients.
• Collaborative Approach: Develop objective patient goals and establish the type, frequency and duration of occupational therapy in collaboration with the referring physician.
• High Standard of Care: Understand appropriate state Practice Act and adhere to the laws that govern how OTs may practice and whom they may supervise.
• Innovative Opportunities: Participate in the design and implementation of new programs or procedures with the approval of the manager and referring physicians per HIPPA guidelines.
• Leadership: Supervise and delegate occupational therapy care for each patient within the guidelines of state rules and federal regulations.
• Personalized Treatment: Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment programs and demonstrate completion of patient care responsibilities and documentation requirements in an appropriate and timely manner.
