Job summary

Ochsner Health in Louisiana is seeking an inpatient occupational therapist to evaluate patients and design treatment programs based on physician orders. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to guide patients to the most appropriate level of post-acute or home care, aiming to achieve patient-specific goals.

This role requires a Bachelor's in OT, state licensure or eligibility, BLS, and strong communication, organization, and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Required - Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluations and provides inpatient occupational therapy treatment programs.
• Assesses the patient\'s response to treatment and recommends plan changes as needed.
• Maintains patient records according to documentation standards and hospital policies.
• Ensures treatment protocols contribute to hospital quality and safety targets and patient safety outcomes.
• Adapts communication and care to a diverse patient population and maintains privacy and consent.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Collaborates and communicates with the healthcare team to facilitate the patient to the most appropriate level of post-acute or home care to achieve identified patient specific goals.
