Advocate Health in North Carolina is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist for the Outpatient Rehabilitation: Womens Health program. The role covers 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday with one 4-hour Saturday shift every 8 weeks, and requires a OT degree, state licensure, CPR every two years, and a driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Perform specialized tests such as manual muscle testing and goniometry.
  • Conduct individual and team-based evaluations; document findings for the plan.
  • Plan intervention strategies and communicate with families about strengths/weaknesses.
  • Provide OT treatment including neuro-developmental and sensory motor therapy.
  • Document goals and progress; participate in IFSP as needed.
  • Participate in chart reviews and ongoing professional development.
  • Attend staff or committee meetings and perform related duties.

What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.

What You’ll Do
  • Responsible for the performance of specialized tests, such as manual muscle testing, goniometry and teaching occupational therapy procedures to the patient, family and other health personnel.
  • Performs both individual and comprehensive evaluations with multidisciplinary team members. Provides written summary of diagnostic findings to be incorporated into team plan.
  • Plans intervention strategies and communicates effectively with families regarding the child's strengths and weaknesses; work may be performed in homes, agencies, preschools or clinics.
  • Provides occupational therapy treatment services including neuro-developmental and sensory motor therapy, developmental stimulation, home programming, equipment demonstration, or other treatment modality to enhance sensory motor functioning and general developmental status.
  • Provides documentation of goals and objectives for therapy as well as the course and progress of interventions with the patient. Participates in IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan) as needed.
  • Participates in chart review of clinical records for quality assurance. Attend relevant workshops and update instruments/tools to ensure most beneficial practices for population served.
  • Attends scheduled staff, CDSA, or other committee meetings as needed.
  • Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
