Job summary

Kindred Hospital Brea is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a per diem position in a Long-Term Acute Care Hospital. The role focuses on developing treatment plans and enabling patient recovery with exercise, devices, and education for families and staff.

Responsibilities include progress reporting, documentation to meet regulatory and payer requirements, and maintaining a safe, compliant work environment. This position includes comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current and unrestricted Occupational Therapy license in the state where services are rendered.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop a specialized treatment plan to help patients regain well-being through exercise and/or use of prosthetic/orthotic devices.
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct patient’s family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the standards of the Company's Code of Business Conduct and applicable laws.
• Other duties as assigned.
