Job summary

TEEMA Solutions Group is seeking an Occupational Therapist to plan and conduct segments of treatment programs designed to restore and improve physical, social and mental functions, while meeting department objectives.

You will work as a co-leader in interdisciplinary patient groups, perform evaluations, establish individualized treatment and discharge plans, document criteria, and supervise assigned assistants. This role requires licensure and collaboration with health care teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) required if license obtained after January 2007
• Two years of occupational therapy experience preferred
• State licensure in Occupational Therapy required

Responsibilities

• Completes evaluations to ensure quality standards and address assessment areas needing attention.
• Uses appropriate clinical techniques and tools and establishes individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Provides therapy interventions using appropriate treatment protocols and communicates discharge plans to relevant parties.
• Supervises assigned assistants

Education & Experience

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD): Required; only if obtained license on or after January 2007; or foreign equivalent
• Two years' occupational therapy experience: Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Occupational Therapy licensure in state of practice: Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS) certification: Required

Key Responsibilities

• Completes evaluations to ensure quality standards and addresses assessment areas that require attention. Uses appropriate clinical techniques and tools and establishes individualized treatment plans for patients
• Provides therapy interventions using appropriate treatment protocols and techniques. Establishes individualized care and discharge plans and ensures plans are communicated to appropriate parties
• Completes comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation within established deadlines
• Supervises assigned assistants
