Qualifications

• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with appropriate state licensure.
• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Transfers patients safely with assistance as needed.
• Ensure safe body mechanics to protect staff and patients.
• Design and implement an individualized plan of care with goals and discharge plan.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers throughout rehabilitation.
• Document evaluations, plans of care, and patient progress.
• Supervise COTA and rehabilitation technicians as required by regulation.
• Communicate patient performance and discharge needs to the medical team.
