Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Institute of Libertyville is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to provide patient-centered care in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. You will assess needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and promote independence and meaningful recovery for diverse patients.

The role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, ongoing professional development, and access to advanced technologies to enhance care quality and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CPR certification.
• Master’s Degree preferred, or Bachelor’s Degree plus sufficient experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care to patients in need of occupational therapy.
• Guiding patients by supervising care and treatments, leading patient assessments, creating personalized care plans, and targeting and resolving patient concerns.
• Building meaningful relationships with patients by dedicating time to understand their physical, mental, and emotional needs for a successful recovery.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.

Education

Master’s degree preferred

Bachelor’s degree + experience
