Job summary

Mt. Pleasant Health and Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality, resident-centered care in a warm, collaborative setting. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to evaluate and treat patients, develop plans of care, and ensure compliance with regulations.

The role emphasizes ongoing professional development, supervision of OT assistants, and active participation in care conferences to improve patient outcomes and safety in our community facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Valid state Occupational Therapist license, where applicable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic internet navigation.

Responsibilities

• Optimize patient functionality by providing, directing, and/or overseeing occupational therapy services, including screening, evaluation, and treatment.
• Directly supervise occupational therapy assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
• Participate in utilization review, care conferences, case management, and interdisciplinary team activities.
• Develop and enhance occupational therapy programs, techniques, and services to support quality outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with environmental safety, infection control, emergency preparedness, and patient rights policies.
