Job summary

Smoky Ridge Health & Rehabilitation in Burnsville, NC is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to help patients regain independence and confidence in daily activities. The role includes initial assessments, developing personalized plans, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

We welcome both new graduates and experienced therapists. Full-time or part-time status is offered, with opportunities for professional growth and access to CEU credits to support ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist.
• New graduates and experienced therapist welcome.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients to identify physical, emotional, and social needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing patient goals.
• Provide occupational therapy services including upper extremity rehab and ADL training.
• Maximize independence in activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating).
• Train patients and families in usage of specialized equipment.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate records of patient progress and plans.
• Pursue ongoing education to stay current with best OT practices.
