Alameda Health System is seeking an Occupational Therapist II to supervise and train entry to journey level therapists, support staff, and students within its rehabilitation programs. The role includes developing special techniques, facilitating full OT services, and managing a caseload alongside supervisory duties.
The candidate will assess patients, design individualized treatment plans, and coordinate care with physicians and colleagues.
Under direction, supervises and instructs entry to journey level professional therapists, supportive personnel and students. Assists in the development of special techniques and equipment, and provides and supervises the provision of the full-range of occupational therapy services in rehabilitation programs treating physically disabled and emotionally ill persons at Alameda Health System facilities. The Occupational Therapists II typically carry a caseload in addition to their supervisional responsibilities. Performs related duties as required.
Education: Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree, certification or Master’s Degree from an approved school of occupational therapy.
Minimum Experience: One year of full-time experience in the class of Occupational Therapist I with Alameda Health System; OR two years of full-time experience as an occupational therapist in another facility in physical disabilities or psycho-social dysfunction.
Required Licenses/Certifications: BLS - Basic Life Support Certification issued by the American Heart Association. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
Required Licenses/Certifications: CPI -Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (required for all positions at John George Psychiatric Pavilion; and certain positions in the Emergency Department).
Required Licenses/Certifications: Current Licensure with the California Board of Occupational Therapy as an Occupational Therapist.
$65.84 - $82.24 / Hour
The pay range for this position reflects the base pay scale for the role at Alameda Health System. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, departmental equity, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and the operational needs of the organization.
