Optum, part of the UnitedHealth Group family, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver OT services in accordance with physician-approved plans of care. The role emphasizes safety, timely documentation, and supervision of home health aides when the RN is not active in the case.

The ideal candidate has an ACOTE/AOTA-accredited OT education, state licensure, NBCOT eligibility, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of OT experience. Regional leadership may require mentoring for those with <1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an occupational therapy program accredited by ACOTE/AOTA, or successor organizations.
• Current license to practice occupational therapy in the state you are assigned to work.
• Eligible to take, or has completed, NBCOT entry-level certification exam.
• Current CPR certification.
• 1+ years of related occupational therapy experience.
• If less than one year, approval from regional clinical leaders and mentoring/residency program may be required.

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of occupational therapy service delivery provided under a physician approved plan of care
• Ensures the plan of care addresses all problems identified in the assessment or documents rationale if identified problems are not addressed in the plan of care
• Accountable for the safety and effectiveness of the occupational therapy service delivery process.
• Completes documentation timely and accurately
• Supervises home health aide when RN is not active in the case
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an occupational therapy program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational
• Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc. (AOTA), or successor organizations of ACOTE
• Current license to practice occupational therapy specific to the state you are assigned to work
• Eligible to take, or has successfully completed, the entry-level certification examination for occupational therapists developed and administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NBCOT)
• Current CPR certification
• 1+ years of related occupational therapy experience to ensure knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide occupational therapy services to patients
• If less than one (1) year of experience, then approval from regional clinical leaders required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or residency program established

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $35.75 to $53.65 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
