Job summary

Apploi near Providence, RI is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our skilled nursing facility on a full-time basis. You will screen residents, develop individualized plans of care and provide therapy under physician orders to help residents regain independence.

New graduates are welcome to apply. You’ll collaborate with a supportive rehab team, train families and caregivers, participate in care planning, and contribute to program development while following Medicare guidelines

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Active Rhode Island OT license (or eligibility).
• Knowledge of Medicare and reimbursement regulations.
• Strong communication, organization and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with residents, families and staff from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate residents, and develop individualized plans of care.
• Provide individual, concurrent and group treatment under physician orders.
• Train residents, families and caregivers to support progress and safety.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning.
• Supervise and support COTAs, aides and students as needed.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in line with Medicare and other payer guidelines.
• Contribute to clinical program development and quality improvement initiatives.
