Job summary

PIH Health Whittier Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist I to provide direct patient care upon physician referral. The role supports a regional nonprofit network delivering comprehensive services to diverse communities in Los Angeles County.

The position emphasizes teamwork, accurate assessments across the lifespan, and adherence to professional standards. New graduates are welcome; licensure and NBCOT certification are required or eligible.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform patient care using proper body mechanics and age-appropriate care processes.

The primary responsibility of the Occupational Therapist I is to provide direct patient care upon physician referral.

Required Experience

Required:

• Registered or eligible for registration by the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapists (NBCOT) and the California Board of Occupational Therapy.
• Must maintain a current California occupational therapist license.
• No experience required.

Preferred

• Basic Windows and mouse skills preferred.
• Basic splinting skills preferred.
