Job summary

Vidor Health in Texas is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our in-house rehab team. You will assess residents, develop individualized treatment plans, and help improve independence and safety through ADLs and IADLs.

The role requires an active Texas OT license, SNF or long-term care experience preferred, and familiarity with Net Health Electronic Documentation System. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, document thoroughly, and participate in required

Qualifications

• Active Texas OT license.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients to evaluate their condition and impact on daily activities.
• Assess and interpret evaluations and test results.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for ADLs and IADLs.
• Assess home environments and recommend modifications.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and provide training.
• Ensure treatments follow the plan of care.
• Monitor response and modify interventions with the team.
• Provide education to patients and families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
• Complete documentation timely per policies.
• Comply with regulations.
• Attend meetings with the Director of Rehab.

Join Our Team as a Full-Time Occupational Therapist (OT)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals. In this role, you will provide person-centered care focused on improving residents’ independence, safety, and quality of life through meaningful daily activities and functional outcomes.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapist (OT)

• Consult with patients to evaluate their physical condition and its impact on daily occupations, well-being, and quality of life

• Assess and interpret patient evaluations and test results

• Develop individualized treatment plans using a variety of therapeutic techniques to maximize performance in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)

• Assess patients’ home and living environments and recommend modifications based on their needs and capabilities

• Recommend adaptive equipment and provide training to support independence and safety

• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care

• Monitor patient response to treatment and modify interventions as clinically appropriate in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team

• Provide clinical education and support to patients, family members, and caregivers

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient care

• Complete documentation thoroughly and timely in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations

• Comply with all applicable rules, regulations, and procedures

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy license

• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred

• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices

• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred

• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs

• Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical decision‑making skills
