Job summary

Select Medical is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join the team at Durham's Duke Regional Hospital on the 6th floor. This full-time role offers hands-on therapy with adult patients in a critical illness recovery setting.

You'll participate in discharge planning, supervise OTAs and students, administer individualized therapy, and monitor patient responses. A strong orientation, tuition assistance, and a clinical ladder support ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist is required.
• BLS certification or completion within first 90 days of employment is required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient/family education and adaptive equipment.
• Supervise certified occupational therapy assistants (OTAs), as well as OT and COTA students.
• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens.
• Monitor patients’ responses to treatment.
• Participate in continuing education seminars and in-services.
