Mercy is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide patient care by organizing and conducting prescribed programs to maximize potential, with compliance to State Practice Act and governing bodies. The role supports the department's growth through special projects and coordination of patient care activities.
Requirements include graduation from an accredited OT program, current OT license or eligibility in the hiring state (temporary license up to 90 days), and current BLS certification;
Provides patient care by organizing and conducting medically prescribed programs in order to achieve maximum potential. Displays treatment skills practicing within the scope of State Practice Act and in compliance with all rules and regulations with National Board and governing bodies in the state of practice. Promotes growth and development of department by assisting in special projects and/or coordinating activities in patient care programs.
Education: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
Current Occupational Therapy license or eligibility within the hiring state, may work under a temporary license up to 90 days.
Certifications: Current BLS.
Must be able to respond to emergency situations.
Preferred Certifications: National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy.
