Matagorda County Hospital District seeks an Occupational Therapist to perform evaluations and treatments in accordance with hospital policies and the therapist’s scope of practice. You will assess patient needs, initiate interventions, and educate patients and families, while providing collaborative care with the broader health team.
Eligible candidates have a valid Texas OT license, an accredited OT degree, and CPR certification; new graduates are welcome with orientation and supervision
The Occupational Therapist assumes responsibility and accountability for patients and provides occupational therapy evaluations/re‑evaluations, modalities, and treatments in accordance with established hospital/department policies and procedures and within an occupational therapist’s scope of practice. Accurately assesses patients’ needs; identifies and initiates appropriate occupational therapy interventions; provides patient and family teaching; and works cooperatively with other patient‑team personnel and maintain standards of professional occupational therapy practice and interdisciplinary teamwork.

Adolescents, Adults and Geriatrics
Current Texas License and registered with the American Occupational Therapy Association; graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program; 1 year experience preferred but new graduates are accepted. Current CPR.
