Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current and unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in the state of Ohio or eligibility to obtain one.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment-planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Previous occupational therapy experience is preferred; new graduates may also be considered, depending on the role requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients to identify physical, functional, and occupational limitations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, abilities, and goals.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve strength, coordination, mobility, and functional independence.
• Assist patients in developing or regaining skills needed for daily activities and work-related tasks.
• Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans and home exercises.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Document evaluations, treatments, patient progress, and discharge plans accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Recommend appropriate adaptive equipment, assistive devices, or modifications when needed.
• Promote injury prevention, safe movement, and overall wellness.
• Maintain a safe and supportive treatment environment.
• Follow established clinical, safety, and compliance standards.
