Job summary

Nyman Associates is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to support preschoolers (ages 3–5) in early intervention settings. The role emphasizes family education, progress documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Applicants should hold a Master’s in Occupational Therapy and PA OT licensure, with flexibility to work on-site in the Philadelphia area. W2 employment with a comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a current state license to practice occupational therapy.
  • Master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
  • Eligible to practice in Pennsylvania; access to transportation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assess fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skills in preschoolers (ages 3–5).
  • Develop individualized plans to promote independence and address developmental delays.
  • Implement therapy activities to remove participation barriers in daily routines and play.
  • Modify environments to support success in home, daycare, preschool, and EI classrooms.
  • Educate parents/caregivers and monitor progress with documentation.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team including teachers and service providers.
  • Maintain progress notes and alignment with IEP goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Environmental modificationsto support children’s success in natural environments (home, daycare, preschool and EI classrooms)
  • Parent/Caregiver educationto empower families with strategies that encourage developmental progress
  • Session documentation and progress monitoring to ensure interventions are effective and goals are being met
  • Collaboration with all team members,including parents, teachers, and related service providers
