Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Carrollton, OH, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join the Therapy Carrollton-Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital team. The role focuses on helping patients regain independence through therapy.

You will evaluate, treat, and plan care for patients with physical, cognitive, or psychosocial deficits, document progress, educate families, and oversee OT assistants. Schedule is days, 8:00am–5:00pm, with a sign-on bonus of up to $1,500.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Graduate of OT program accredited by AOTA.
• Current Ohio OT licensure required.
• BLS certification.
• NPI obtained.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with physical, cognitive, or psychosocial deficits.
• Assess ability to safely perform independent living skills.
• Design plan of care incl. frequency of treatment.
• Implement treatment using appropriate modalities.
• Document patient progress and findings.
• Monitor and adjust the plan of care as needed.
• Seek consultation when necessary.
• Educate patient and family about deficits.
• Assist with discharge from therapy services.
• Advise on adaptive equipment and support programs.
• Oversee OT assistants per licensing laws.
