Job summary

Palmdale Regional Medical Center, part of Universal Health Services, seeks an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in an acute care setting. The role requires CA OT licensure or eligibility, and BLS certification; CLT is preferred.

You will work with physicians and the care team to plan and administer OT modalities, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to regulatory requirements. This is a hospital-based opening in Palmdale, CA.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as an occupational therapist in an acute care facility preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited OT curriculum with a OT degree and certification.
• Current California OT license or license eligibility with permit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the evaluation, planning, directing and administering of occupational therapy modalities prescribed by a licensed physician.
• Maintain licensure eligibility and meet certification requirements (BLS).
• Collaborate with care teams to deliver patient-centered OT services.

Position Description

Qualifications

Job Duties/Responsibilities Requirements:

• One (1) year experience as an occupational therapist in acute care facility preferred.
• Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy curriculum with a Bachelors or Masters degree with certification in occupational therapy.
• Current California Occupational Therapy License OR License eligibility letter prior to the first day of employment.
• If CA OT License Eligibility Letter recipient with a Limited Permit: licensing exam must be passed within (90) days from letter date.
• BLS (AHA) current certification
