Job summary

The Edinburg Center, Inc. is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist for our DMH Specialty Flex program, providing mobile services to youth under 21 with co-occurring mental health and neurodevelopmental needs, using our agency's “Better Together” model.

The Occupational Therapist will work with an interdisciplinary team, focusing on sensory integration, motor skills, social skills, and self-care in youth in Marlborough and surrounding communities.

Qualifications

  • OT degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed OT-L in MA.
  • Minimum 2 years of pediatric experience.
  • Preference for experience with youth with emotional/behavioral health needs.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Flexible schedule; valid MA driver’s license and transportation required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized therapy to youth and young adults in sensory integration, fine and gross motor skills, social skills, and self-care.
  • Conduct assessment and direct treatment.
  • Provide consultation within the interdisciplinary team.

The Edinburg Center is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist for our newest DMH Specialty Flex program, providing services to youth under the age of 21 with co-occurring mental health and neurodevelopmental needs, using our agency's “Better Together” model.

What You Will Do

The Occupational Therapist is part of a specialized interdisciplinary team including a Master's-level Clinician, Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Therapeutic Support Specialist, and a Family Partner. This role provides individualized therapy to youth and young adults in the areas of sensory integration, fine and gross motor skills, social skills, and self-care skills within the professional scope of practice. This role will provide assessment and direct treatment, as well as consultation.

Who You Are

Has earned an Occupational Therapy degree from an accredited institution, is licensed as an OT-L, and possesses a minimum of 2 years of experience working with a pediatric population. Prior experience working with youth with serious emotional and behavioral health disturbances and their families is preferred. Must have strong oral and written communication skills. In addition, the candidate will have a flexible schedule. Valid MA driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
