The ideal candidate will be a licensed Occupational Therapist with knowledge of computerized clinical information systems such as AMHC database, Clinicians View, and Chart View. You willevaluateandtreatphysician referred patients13 years of age and olderin all levels of care.

Clinical: Evaluates and treats referred patients usingappropriate assessmenttools and communicates findings via written and oralreport.Formulatesappropriate treatmentplans and goals for all patients assessed withAMHCInterdisciplinary Team.Supports the patient byprovidingeducation that leads towards growth and personal responsibility. Plans group treatment sessions with other staff and processes the group at its conclusions. Updates other professionalsregardingpatients’ progress and collaborativelyplanspatient’scourse of treatment. Observes and documents patient activities in the medical record ina timely,accurateand concise manner. Maintains equipment and supplies.
Team: Acts as a departmental and hospital resource through informal leadership and technicalexpertise. Acts as a mentor to others onthe teamand in AMHC. Participates in the orientation ofnew staffmembers,assistswith supervision of students and volunteers as needed.
Development:Maintainscurrent knowledge, certification, and licensure.Identifieslearning needs in self and initiates actions to address these education needs. Attends continuing education programs tomaintainlicensure. Attends hospital sponsored training programs as required by the department. Maintains compliance with Code 10 trainingCompletesall mandatory requirements, certifications, and licensure within allotted time for completion (CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation), License, PPD, Competencies, Age Specifics, etc.)
Organizational knowledge: Works effectively within and between departments. Participatesininter-departmental teams and committees, communicating unit knowledge asappropriate. Provides department/unit with information and knowledgeacquiredduring participation with interdepartmental teams and committees. Demonstrates a constructive approach during all interactions with staff, supervisors, and managers both inside and outside the unit.

Maryland Licensure as Occupational Therapist
