Job summary

Glendale Transitional Care Center is hiring an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) in Glendale, CA. The OTA will administer treatments and assessments, work with an interdisciplinary team, and help discharge residents to safe home environments.

The candidate will hold an Associate degree in Occupational Therapy, a CA OTA license, and at least one year of clinical experience (new grads welcome). A sign-on bonus and PTO are offered.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate degree in Occupational Therapy (OTA).
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant issued by California.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Measures muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments to ensure safe discharge with OT/PT as needed.
