Job summary

MercyOne Genesis, part of Trinity Health, is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support a wide range of patient populations across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. Qualified candidates will hold a 2-year OT program or equivalent, Iowa licensure, and BLS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• 2 year Occupational Therapy college program or equivalent experience.
• Iowa state license.
• Basic Life Support within 6 months of employment.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist occupational therapists in providing treatment to patients in a caring, professional and efficient manner in settings that may include inpatient, outpatient, long term care, home health care and/or outreach services in the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations.
• Provide treatment independently according to State practice guidelines.
• Be responsible for assisting the therapist in reassessment.
• Complete necessary documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
